NEXTOPIA ACHIEVEMENT AS OF MAY 2026
Since its opening in November 2025, NEXTOPIA has delivered measurable environmental outcomes through the collective efforts of tenants, partners, entrepreneurs, and visitors (as of 31 May 2026). From January 2026 onwards, all common areas and retail spaces have been powered by 100% renewable energy, while a 100% Zero Waste to Landfill target has been achieved since opening through maximizing resource recovery and diversion from landfill.
NEXTOPIA is equipped with integrated energy and environmental technologies, including Floor Radiant Cooling, a heat-shielding ETFE translucent roof, and The Cooling Waterfall, which maintains water temperature at 15°C to provide radiant cooling. Sustainability is also embedded into the visitor experience through features such as a Kinetic Floor that generates electricity from footsteps, a spiral staircase that encourages walking, and power-generating bicycles that convert human energy into electricity.
Through collective efforts in waste management, water efficiency, and energy management, the NEXTOPIA ecosystem has reduced more than 218,800 kgCO₂e of greenhouse gas emissions—equivalent to the carbon absorption capacity of over 23,000 trees (as of 31 May 2026).
