Bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and environmentally conscious communities, NEXTOPIA presents one of the most comprehensive showcases of sustainable innovations and invites everyone to co-create a better future under the philosophy, “Join us in the Making of a Better World.”

NEXTOPIA, co-creating communities for a better world, is born from the collaboration between Siam Paragon and over 50 leading global innovative organizations, partners, retailers, and 30 communities of Friends of NEXTOPIA. All share the same determination and belief to pioneer change, build a creative community, and jointly drive the world toward a better future.

Sustainable Innovations and Clean Energy
The Kinetic Floor
The Kinetic Floor transforms the kinetic energy generated by every step into electricity, demonstrating how clean energy can be created through everyday actions. Developed through a collaboration between Bangkok Cable and students from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, the project showcases the power of technology and creativity in shaping a sustainable future.
The Clean Energy
In partnership with B.Grimm, NEXTOPIA has installed a large-scale solar rooftop system that converts sunlight into clean energy, reducing dependence on conventional energy sources and reinforcing the belief that energy innovation is key to building a more sustainable world.
Innovations for Healthy Living and Air Quality
Floor Radiant Cooling
Developed by Casa Tech, the radiant floor cooling system delivers natural and consistent comfort without forced air circulation, reducing the spread of dust, allergens, and airborne contaminants while improving energy efficiency and environmental performance.
The Cooling Waterfall
Standing 16 meters tall and connecting three floors, the Cooling Waterfall acts as a giant natural air conditioner, enhancing humidity and thermal comfort while minimizing energy consumption.
DAS & DOAS Air Systems
Advanced air technologies from Daikin combine the Displacement Air System (DAS) and Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS), inspired by cleanroom principles, to continuously remove stale air, contaminants, and airborne pathogens, providing fresh, clean, and comfortable indoor air.
Healthy Building Materials and Paints
NEXTOPIA utilizes ultra-low VOC paints from TOA, free from mercury and lead, to support healthier indoor environments and international green building standards. Sustainable materials from TPI Polene, Vanachai Group, and Saint-Gobain further help reduce hazardous emissions and environmental impact.
Recycled Building Materials
High-performance recyclable building materials, including metal roofing solutions from BlueScope, contribute to resource conservation and circular construction practices.
Immersive Attractions
Beyond maintaining excellent air quality throughout the year, NEXTOPIA is surrounded by meaningful art, architecture, and interactive experiences that make sustainable living engaging and enjoyable.
The Globe: World Sustainable Reflection and Global Phenomena
Created in collaboration with PlanB Media, The Globe is a floating digital earth located at the heart of NEXTOPIA. Powered by data from GISTDA and NASA, it displays real-time climate and natural phenomena while featuring an Eco Impact Dashboard that visualizes collective environmental impact across energy, water, waste management, and clean energy generated through visitor participation, including steps taken on The Kinetic Floor.
The Tree of Life
Inspired by nature and crafted by internationally acclaimed Thai artists, The Tree of Life welcomes visitors with an iconic architectural installation that celebrates the value of green spaces and redefines luxury through a closer connection with nature.
The Ocean Canopy
Created from recycled ocean plastic by local artists, The Ocean Canopy transforms marine waste into a flowing experiential sculpture, helping restore value to discarded materials, protect marine ecosystems, and generate new income opportunities for fishing communities.
The Vertical Farm
Developed with Distar, The Vertical Farm introduces urban agriculture into the heart of the city. Visitors can plant, harvest, and enjoy their own produce through an innovative vertical farming system that saves space and protects crops from pollution and soil contamination.

Three mascots represent different dimensions of sustainability:

Pie – born from fashion waste, representing fun, creativity, and social experiences.

Toby – born from food waste, representing healthy eating and responsible food waste management.

NEXTOPIA is a platform for creative participation, offering year-round eco-workshops, exhibitions, talks, and showcases by global partners. Its community space welcomes everyone to work, connect, and discover inspiration while contributing to a better future.

Sustainable Dining
Dining at NEXTOPIA nourishes both people and the planet. Menus feature locally sourced ingredients that support Thai farmers, healthy options, and zero-landfill waste management practices.
Restaurants are selected based on five key criteria:

Sustainable Retail
NEXTOPIA believes sustainability should be simple and accessible every day. Through ECOTOPIA and other curated retail experiences, visitors can discover products from Thai entrepreneurs and SMEs that combine quality with positive environmental impact.
Products are selected based on five principles:
- Reducing paper receipt usage
- Using reusable and resource-efficient packaging
- Supporting recycled and upcycled products
- Utilizing biodegradable packaging
- Incorporating reusable materials

At NEXTOPIA, every choice, every experience, and every step contributes to a better world.
Since its opening in November 2025, NEXTOPIA has delivered measurable environmental outcomes through the collective efforts of tenants, partners, entrepreneurs, and visitors (as of 31 May 2026). From January 2026 onwards, all common areas and retail spaces have been powered by 100% renewable energy, while a 100% Zero Waste to Landfill target has been achieved since opening through maximizing resource recovery and diversion from landfill.
NEXTOPIA is equipped with integrated energy and environmental technologies, including Floor Radiant Cooling, a heat-shielding ETFE translucent roof, and The Cooling Waterfall, which maintains water temperature at 15°C to provide radiant cooling. Sustainability is also embedded into the visitor experience through features such as a Kinetic Floor that generates electricity from footsteps, a spiral staircase that encourages walking, and power-generating bicycles that convert human energy into electricity.
Through collective efforts in waste management, water efficiency, and energy management, the NEXTOPIA ecosystem has reduced more than 218,800 kgCO₂e of greenhouse gas emissions—equivalent to the carbon absorption capacity of over 23,000 trees (as of 31 May 2026).
These figures are updated monthly and reflect the impact created through the collaboration of everyone involved.
