    Satit SOLO Exhibition: ‘The Resume’

    10 September - 4 October 2026
At Art Jewel, 5th Floor, Siam Paragon

Satit SOLO Exhibition: “The Resume” – “Arise, Exist, Carry On” The First Job Application of Satit Kanlayanawatthanich

This exhibition is not the life story of a man named Satit Kanlayanawatthanich.

Because in a world where everyone is striving relentlessly for success, the personal history of one individual may ultimately hold little significance at all.

For the past 66 years, he has never created a formal résumé or CV. Not because he is a legend known by everyone, but because his life has been driven by what he calls “The Science of Foolishness”. A philosophy of continuously trying interesting things simply for the joy of doing them, without a business plan, and without being fixated on a final destination.

The giant résumé presented in this exhibition is therefore not intended to celebrate achievements or proclaim the greatness of a man named Satit Kanlayanawatthanich. Rather, it was created to lay bare his failures, stubbornness, and foolishness, allowing visitors to see that a long creative journey is not built on brilliance alone. Instead, it is sustained by a spirit willing to fall, rise again, and continue bringing together three ordinary yet essential tools: the Head (the mind), the Heart (the soul), and the Hands (the act of doing). Together, they keep moving forward.

The canvases within this room represent a collection of all the experiences he often refers to as “DOTs” or “points”. These points have been woven together into artworks that use the emotions of different stages of life to tell stories and convey the spirit of someone who believes that past failures are the very things that shape the present, and that the actions we take today are the only things that can shape the future.

Perhaps what we need to learn is not the success of great figures, nor how to decode someone else's intelligence. Perhaps it is the courage to be foolish, and the willingness to enjoy life in our own way.

Some people have said that Satit is someone who has “come into being, endured, and become a legend.” But such definitions may be far too grand and distant for an old man who remains stubbornly committed to the work in front of him.

For him, life is simply about “coming into being, existing, and continuing.” And this exhibition is merely the beginning of the next DOT in his journey.

“Don't Stop Me Now: Arise, Exist, Carry On.”

Time, crises, and even death have never been able to stop the journey of a man named Satit. Throughout the past six decades, characters such as Mr. P have reflected the cycle of “being born, growing old, and nearly dying,” yet always managing to survive, recover, and create new energy.

Through The Resume, Satit hopes to inspire everyone to continue searching for their own DOTs in life, without allowing phrases such as “I'm too old” or “It's time to retire” to become boundaries that limit imagination.

Because the past shapes the present, and the present is what we create to shape our own future.

“If Satit can do it, anyone can. Just keep collecting your DOTs until the day you become the most uniquely authentic version of yourself.”

Experience the “DOTs” or small points that have shaped the life journey of Satit Kanlayanawatthanich at the Satit SOLO Exhibition: “The Resume” – “Arise, Exist, Carry On.”

Discover a collection of stories, experiences, failures, and moments of perseverance woven together through art, reflecting a life dedicated to creating, learning, and moving forward.
